5 Things I'm Loving Now

Another weekly check-in.......hope you enjoy!

Please keep reading and giving me feedback {I love hearing from you!} as I have some really yummy recipes coming up on the blog: Kraut Burgers, Double Chocolate Browned Butter Cookies, Slow Cooker Steel Cut Oatmeal {awesome, by the way} and Grilled Pesto Potatoes.

Until then, enjoy my rambles.

I'm pretty sure I need to read this quote everyday when I wake up.  I need to learn to pick my battles with the little ones.  Does it matter if my daughter sits on her knees at the table rather than on her bottom?  As long as she is staying still and eating well.....then I need to pick my battles.

Does it matter if the husband gets the wrong kind of canned tomatoes from the store when he WENT to the store with BOTH kids for me so I could have 2 hours of peace at home?  Not really....again, I need to pick my battles.

My dear friend who lives in Colorado texted me the other day saying she was making a trip to IKEA.  She wanted to know if I'd like her to pick up these popsicle molds for me since she knew I was dying to make homemade popsicles for the kids.

I love good friends.

I can't wait to get them in the mail.

Do you know the difference between honey and raw honey?  If not, I think you may be surprised to know that there is a difference and what you have in your cupboard {including me} is NOT the good honey.

Anyone local know where I can get raw honey?

My husband bought the biggest watermelon to hit this side of the Mississippi last week and I need to find ways to use up the other half that is still sitting in our fridge.

I'm pretty sure Jessica at A Kitchen Addiction came up with a great solution.  She has a beautiful blog by the way, you should check it out.

Did you see the 4 Super Simple Crock Pot Meals for Summer I've been plastering all over the web talking about lately?

Put these in your dinner rotation this summer.  They won't heat up your kitchen and are family friendly.  I'm using the buffalo chicken recipe tonight, but instead on eating it on sandwiches we are throwing it on pizza.

I just died.  I cannot wait until 6 p.m.

Looking forward to your steel cut oatmeal recipe, we tried a version during the winter and didn't really care for it.

  4. Oh Steph, it is so good. It's really creamy, almost takes like a fluffy hot dessert! I'll be sharing later this week:)
