Marshmallow Dream Crescents

Did y'all have a nice Thanksgiving?

We just finished our last one yesterday, so naturally I still feel FULL.  I hope you and your family got to spend quality time together and make some great memories, I know we sure did.

We also have our first real Christmas tree in our living room just dying to be decorated, so that is on today's agenda.  The kids are ubber excited.  And I'm not going to lie, I think mom and dad are a bit excited too. Little ones make the holidays even more special.

But before I get to Christmas, lets talk crescents.  I made these Thanksgiving morning with the kids for a special breakfast treat.  Trust me, we don't eat this way every morning.  It is usually oatmeal, yogurt or cereal, so imagine their surprise when I brought out these guys!

With few ingredients, these are really easy to make, even for the non-cook.  Give them a try! I have seen similar recipes where a marshmallow is placed in the middle of a baked good and miraculously when it gets baked.....poof.....the marshmallow has melted and is gone.....just like a dream.

Get it?

Marshmallow Dream Crescents

Print this Recipe
1 pkg. refrigerated crescent rolls {8 count}
4 large marshmallows
cinnamon
sugar
butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1 t. vanilla
4-5 T. milk or water

1.  Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2.  On a greased cookie sheet, spread and flatten out the 8 crescent rolls.
3.  Top each crescent roll with a sprinkling of cinnamon and sugar, a small cube of butter {1 t.} and a half of a marshmallow.
4.  Roll up the crescent {large side first}and lay on the baking sheet.
5.  Bake for 11-14 minutes or until golden brown.
6.  Meanwhile in a small bowl combine powdered sugar, vanilla and milk - adding 1 T. of milk at a time until you have a nice frosting consistency.
7.  Drizzle the frosting over the hot crescent rolls.
8.  Serve warm.

Now that I'm looking at these I wonder if they would freeze well too?  I might try that next time.  Because, you know, I'm sure there will be a next time!

Besides preparing our Christmas tree today I'm also preparing for a T.V. appearance tomorrow on a local news channel.  I've worked with this group of ladies before on other appearances, but since then they have changed stations and I've never been to this one.....so I'm a bit nervous!

I'll be showcasing a fun holiday cookie and an easy holiday appetizer.  As soon as the link is up on the web I'll be sure to share with all of you.  Wish me luck!
