Wow.

Just wow.

You guys are blowing my mind.  I'm not sure if it's the 6 inches of snow that got dumped on us here in the Midwest today or if everyone is just finally starting to get in the holiday spirit, but wow...you are loving these giveaways!

I have two still up and running so make sure you enter!  My Taste of Home Holiday Package Bundle where two winners will receive a delightful package of cookbooks and magazines and then this wildly popular post The 10 Books I Couldn't Put Down in 2016 + Holiday Book Bundle Giveaway where I hand picked four awesome books to send to one reader.  It is very obvious you all love to read just like me!

Today just continues the fun.  I have partnered with Simply Organic, a part of Frontier Co-op, that begin as a two person operation in 1976 in a river cabin in Eastern Iowa {not far from where I live now}.  Since then they have grown steadily to become a major supplier of natural products.  The Simply Organic division are committed to ensuring that their organic spices and seasonings are grown and processed in an ethical and sustainable manner.

So, here's the thing.

How many of you have a cabinet FULL of spices, many of which have been long forgotten and more importantly most that are well past their due date?

Me too.  I feel ya.  It's not your fault.  We all get busy.  Spices get pushed to the back. Faulty containers get tipped over.  We can't find the chili powder in the 3.5 seconds we have to look for it, so we buy another one, shoving the one we couldn't find further to the back.  It happens to the best of us.

But, here's the kicker - spices are what make the world go round!  You can turn what normally would have been a very drab meal, into something super tasty with minimal effort {and even better, with little to no calories...bring on another Christmas cookie!}.

When Anne from Simply Organic jumped on board with this series of mine, I just knew you'd all love it.  Tell me, who wouldn't want to have a fresh start in 2017 with a COMPLETE NEW SET OF SPICES?

Picture yourself grabbing that garbage can, dumping out ALL the old, expired ones and replacing them with 13 brand new ones.  I have personally hand-picked this set for you.  All of the spices I love and use daily.  Ones that 99% of the population uses.  All the common ones you need to have a complete set.

And if that doesn't excite you enough....the inner organized freak in me loves their bottles. Glass {no more flimsy plastic}, screw on lids and an easy pull-off lid allowing you to shake a little or a lot into your dish.

You have many ways to enter just follow the simple directions below.  Enter from today until December 8th.  One random winner will be picked shortly after that.  Good luck!

  3. Salt is the most commonly used spice, but for the more exotic, we use garlic powder in a lot of recipes.
