I swear I could come up with a new cookie recipe weekly!
This one is melt in your mouth delicious.
If you have someone in your life who loves a chocolate chip cookie, but also appreciates a twist - this cookie is for them!
Obviously my original, traditional chocolate chip cookie is always a good standby, but personally this one is my favorite. The texture is different, but the taste is familiar.
I'm always dreaming up new cookie recipes (probably because I have two teenagers and one tween who are always hungry) and this one I had been thinking about for while. I love it's citrus cousin (found here) so I did some tweaking to that recipe and these turned out amazing.
The cornstarch in these cookies (yes, cornstarch!) gives these cookies a shortbread like texture. They are called "meltaways" because they do just that - literally melt away in your mouth at first bite. They are slightly crispy, yet soft and tender.
The best parts of any cookie!
Mini chocolate chips work best in this cookie dough - as previously said the cookie batter is a bit tender and flaky so bigger chocolate chips won't hold in as well.
You press these down with the bottom of a glass cup before baking and they bake into these perfect little round discs. No need to chill the dough before baking, just mix up, press, bake and enjoy. They turn out great every time.
If you want to bake a cookie for someone I highly recommend these because 1) they taste incredible and 2) they package up beautifully!
I cannot wait to see you make these. When people think they are grabbing a regular chocolate chip cookie they'll be pleasantly surprised after the first bite.
I'd love to see your photos. Be sure to tag me on Instagram (@sweetsavoryeats) and I'll be sure to share your creations.

ReplyDeleteI love how this recipe leans into simplicity but still delivers that soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture—those mini chocolate chips really make a difference. I’ve been on a bit of a Drive Quest lately to find easy baking wins, and this honestly feels like one worth trying. The powdered sugar touch sounds especially good.
ReplyDeleteMini chocolate chip meltaway cookies feature a delicate, shortbread-like texture achieved through a high fat-to-flour ratio, often using cornstarch and confectioners' sugar to create a tender, "melting" experience. These bite-sized treats are fast to prepare, requiring no chilling time, and are best made with mini chocolate chips for optimal texture. https://geometrydashes.com/
ReplyDeleteI’ve been comparing different betting platforms lately and noticing how much the overall flow affects my mindset during longer sessions. Some sites feel fast and chaotic, while others give a steadier rhythm that makes it easier to think clearly before acting. "betworld96" stands out to me because the pacing feels more controlled, which helps me avoid impulsive decisions and stay consistent even when outcomes start shifting quickly over time.
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed reading through this page, the layout is clean and easy to follow. I recently tried slope 2 and liked its endless runner style with smooth controls and challenging obstacles.
