I love them. Always have. My kids still look forward to the cheap $2 ones from ALDI filled with less than stellar chocolate. I've groomed them to love an Advent Calendar. Many have come a long, long way. There literally is one for everyone.
I'm also of the notion that you don't need to give your Advent calendar to your loved one on December 1st. Go ahead and give it to them Christmas morning! They can enjoy it throughout the New Year.
