One of my favorite things to do at the end of the year is to log into my Google Analytics account and see which recipes soared and which recipes tanked.  And yes, there are always a couple that tank!  Not everything becomes a world wide web hit and that's okay....you live and learn.

I grabbed my Top 10, plus a couple honorable mentions for fun - it's always neat to see what recipes you guys loved.  Some hands down, always surprise me and others are a dead giveaway.

My Crockpot Dill Pickle Bacon Cheeseburger Soup was showcased back in October and even the pickle haters wanted to try it!  It's everything you love on a classic cheeseburger but in soup form.  It's cheesy, salty, hearty and filling.

Not only are their chopped pickles in the soup, but also pickle juice.  That tangy brine helps offset the rich cheese - it really is the perfect combo!

Last winter these Peanut Butter Energy Balls become a fan favorite, I do believe because it was that time of year when many of us were searching for healthier eats and snacks to get us through the day.  These are the answer!

They are the perfect afternoon pick-me-up to tide you over until dinner.  Made with dates, oats and peanut {that's really it!} they come together easy in a food processor and keep well in the freezer.  Perfect for grabbing on the run.

Anything with eggs always goes over well on my blog.  You people love your eggs!  This fun take on a savory pancake is great to prep for breakfasts for the week or even dinner.  My Savory Ham & Cheese Dutch Baby is also a great excuse to get out that cast iron skillet.

You could really fill this up with anything {peppers, mushrooms, sausage, etc.} and each and every time it will turn out light, fluffy and darn delicious.

My original ham ball recipe continues to bring in a ton of pageviews, but this past year when I made this fun new version, my Sweet Glazed Ham Ball Sliders, you all went nuts.

I love to make anything into sandwich form.  When I made this ham ball slider patty with a super sweet glaze and sat them on top of grilled pineapple and a Hawaiian bun, well, it was just a match made in heaven.

These are perfect for summer grilling parties!

Again, you people seem to love the cast iron skillet.  I don't blame you!  These Cast Iron Skillet Biscuits with Honey Butter are so easy to make and accompany so many meals {our favorites include soups, scrambled eggs and along side pasta}.

These take less than 40 minutes start to finish and give you slightly crispy edges, with a tender, flaky inside.  Pretty much the best biscuit ever!

Meal planning and food round-up posts ALWAYS do well.  People love to read one post that includes a ton of like-minded recipes.

My 23 Sheet Pan Meals post was no exception.  Who doesn't love a dinner that only requires one pan, yet can cook/bake multiple items?  We all do.  Sheet Pan meals are easy, with minimal clean up and can feed a crowd.

Eggs again!  My Loaded Healthy Freezer Friendly Breakfast Burritos are filling and tasty.  Anytime I get in a meal prepping mood these are made.  We not only eat them for quick breakfasts before school, but for dinner too!

Filled with sausage, spinach, eggs, peppers and parmesan cheese - the flavor is amazing.  I wrapped these up in low-carb tortillas and dosed them in hot sauce.  They stay fresh in the freezer for up to 3 months, but never last that long.

I feel like most people bought or received an Air Fryer in 2019 and therefore this post went bonkers.  You can literally cook anything in it - burgers, cakes, steaks, french fries - the list goes on and on.

People love Air Fryers as they use no oil, yet give you that crispy texure like it was.  Pretty much can't beat that!  This post features 25 Air Fryer Recipes, a neat combination of main dishes, sides and desserts.

My Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll Coffee Cake just might be my favorite recipe of 2019.  As soon as I posted it, I was bombarded with comments and accolades.

It only went a few months ago, but rushed up to #2 pretty quick.  It has your favorite pumpkin flavor stuffed into your other favorite flavor - the cinnamon roll.  The two married and had this beautiful baby.  It feeds a big crowd and stays fresh for DAYS.

Yes, I know, my book isn't technically a recipe....but it still came in at #1!

I released my book Bread & Butter in early September of this year.  My first round of copies sold out in 6 days.  I have since reordered two more times.  It's been a hit and a blessing in 2019.

Holiday parties are in full force right now.  If you are like us, we have Christmas' to celebrate until the weekend after New Years.  The holidays don't stop on December 25th for us!

I've said it before - good snacks around the holidays are my favorite.  I'd gladly skip that big traditional meal for a variety plates of dips, crackers, appetizers and desserts.  You get to munch on a lot of yummy apps instead of a big heavy meal.

I created this Very Merry Cranberry & Caramelized Onion Dip for a few reasons....1) doesn't it look pretty and festive? 2) I love any sweet and savory combo and 3) well, Kalona SuperNatural asked me too.

Yep!  I'm back with one of my favorite Iowa companies Kalona SuperNatural using some of their products {sour cream and butter} and pretty much drove face first into this dip.

When I walked into the grocery store a few days ago I wondered if cranberries would still be on the shelf, sitting fresh and pretty....and they were!  Apparently, cranberries aren't just for Thanksgiving!  I grabbed a bag and headed home.

I got to work on creaming together some yummy cheeses, caramelizing onions and layering them all together in a pretty pie plate as quickly as possible so I could dive into it with a handful of crackers. 

Which did indeed happen.

This dip was my lunch.

I wanted to make a dip that screamed the HOLIDAYS that allowed me to use a couple of their products.  This one uses their organic lightly salted butter and their organic sour cream {which also graces our tacos in this house every Tuesday night}.

It has all the pretty colors on a light green pie plate, so pretty much it's perfect for your holiday gathering this year.

The bottom cheese layer is a combo of cream cheese, Kalona SuperNatural sour cream, feta cheese and cheddar cheese.  What?  Then it's topped with caramelized onions and sweetened cranberries and let me just say the salty cracker and cheese topped with this festive sweetness is A GAME CHANGER.

Very Merry Cranberry & Caramelized Onion Dip

The perfect holiday appetizer! A creamy, salty cheese layer topped with caramelized onions and a sweet cranberry sauce. The ideal sweet & savory combo.

ingredients:

Cheese Layer
Caramelized Onions
Cranberry Sauce
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 T balsamic vinegar

instructions:

How to cook Very Merry Cranberry & Caramelized Onion Dip

  1. In a stand mixer beat the cream cheese until smooth.  Add in the sour cream, crumbled feta and shredded cheddar until blended.  Spread this cheese mixture into a shallow 8 inch pie plate.  Cover and refrigerate.
  2. In a skillet add in the butter to melt over medium-heat.  Add in the sliced onions and cook/stir for 4-5 minutes until tender.  Then reduce the heat to low and stir in the sugar.  Cook for 15-18 minutes, stirring occasionally until the onions are golden brown.  Remove onions from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, combine the cranberries, sugar and water over medium-heat.  Stir occasionally, while the cranberries start to pop and the mixture thickens.  Stir in the vinegar and caramelized onions, heating a few more minutes to combine.  Set off the heat to cool.
  4. When ready to serve, remove the chilled cheese mixture from the fridge and top with the cooled caramelized onion/cranberry mixture.
  5. Serve with crackers.

My kids {and the husband, can’t forget him} absolutely love Mexican food. It regularly makes the rounds weekly. Who can blame them? It’s full of flavor and often feeds a hungry crowd.

I used all our favorite enchilada fillings to stuff into these Mission®  Protein Tortilla Wraps. What is not to love about the ease of shredded rotisserie chicken mixed together with cream cheese, peppers, Mexi-spices and shredded queso cheese?
Nothing.
There is nothing wrong with that.
And then I did the unthinkable. I poured heavy cream over the top of these beauties right before they were topped with more cheese and baked. It makes for the most incredible cheese sauce.
These enchiladas are tender, yet just a tad crispy on the outside where the cheese is lightly browned. They are perfect.

Who wouldn’t want to eat at this table?
In my opinion, nothing looks more inviting. Hearty, creamy, cheesy enchiladas served and topped with fresh salsa and slices of ripe avocado.

Fiesta Cream Cheese Chicken Enchiladas


Fiesta Cream Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

These creamy and cheesy chicken enchiladas will become a favorite on Mexi-night! Take some help with rotisserie chicken and you can be eating in under an hour.

ingredients:

  • 3 cups shredded rotisserie chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 banana peppers, diced
  • 1 t chili powder
  • 1 t cumin
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 3 cups shredded queso cheese
  • 12 Mission® Protein Tortilla Wraps

instructions:

How to cook Fiesta Cream Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9x13 baking pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a rimmed skillet over medium heat, cook the diced banana peppers for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Cut the softened cream cheese into squares and place in the skillet to melt.
  4. Once melted, add in the shredded chicken and stir. Then sprinkle in 1 1/2 cups of the shredded queso cheese and stir to combine.
  5. Place two heaping spoonfuls of the chicken filling into a Mission® Protein Torilla Wrap and wrap up. Place seam side down in the baking dish.
  6. Continue doing this until all the filling is used up.  It will make 12 enchiladas.
  7. Pour the heavy whipping cream over the enchiladas and sprinkle on the remaining shredded cheese.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and turn up the heat of the oven to 375 degrees.  Bake for another 10 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm with fresh salsa and sliced avocado.

Jade Beauty Roller - this ancient beauty tool made with Jade stone has become a hot trend!  It helps allievate puffiness {me please!} while promoting cell growth and improving skin tone.

Travel Make-up Case & Organizer - if I give you all these goods, then I need to give you something to put it all in!  I first heard about this travel case from Jen of The Rambling Redhead.  I watched her switch out the compartments depending on what she was carrying that trip - it's truly a neat case!
