Egg Nog Cheesecake Bars

What a treat these Egg Nog Cheesecake Bars are, perfect for any holiday gathering.

This post is sponsored by AE Dairy, but all opinions are my own.

I have enjoyed making cheesecake my entire life. All kinds, all varieties. People often get intimidated by it thinking it’s difficult, but it really isn’t.

Cream cheese, eggs, vanilla, sour cream, sugar + any additions you want to flavor it up (in this case egg nog!) poured over a crust and baked to perfection.

If all goes well, you’ll have a creamy, smooth dessert that people will swoon over.

There is one superior egg nog in our life and it’s AE Dairy’s Egg Nog. As my youngest daughter says “please get egg nog at the store Mom, but only that one brand in the gold carton that is the best”.

She’s not wrong!

It’s often been described as drinking a melted vanilla milk shake…it’s perfectly spiced with nutmeg and has that classic custard like flavor and texture. AE Dairy has done things right.

I’ve used it in this holiday dip and it regularly gets put in my hot morning coffee (a great swap for creamer). I love how you can use it as a milk replacer in many things – pancakes, muffins, cookies, etc.

These Egg Nog Cheesecake Bars are everything you want for a fun holiday dessert. Cheesecake is a universal love for most and the addition of egg nog in the filling will have people guessing….what’s in this cheesecake?

The flavor is subtle, yet delicious.

They bake up easily, cutting into beautiful squares for your guests with a pretty sprinkling of additional nutmeg on top. Feel free to top with whipped cream too if you like!

This is a dessert that can easily be made a day or two ahead and placed in the fridge to chill before serving. It keeps well and dare I say it tastes better the next day?

Be ready for people to ask for the recipe – and watch their smiles when they realize how easy it is to make.
