Whether you need a hearty tailgate bite or an easy dinner for busy Fall nights, these sliders (on pretzel buns!) will become a favorite with your family and friends.

I’m happy to say that my new Party-Style Chicken Sliders fit
into both categories!
They are a great (easy) dish for busy Fall nights, yet they
can be wrapped up or kept warm at tailgate parties to feed a crowd.
I’ve found over the years that everyone loves a slider. And
what’s not to love? It’s everything you need for a meal in a convenient
sandwich. Remember my French
Onion BBQ Sliders? Or my Baked
Reuben Sliders? Both are great options.
When AE
Dairy and I started brainstorming a meal that would fit both the “Fall”
vibe yet also be great for football games – while also showcasing their creamy,
tangy sour cream we
came up with these!
AE
Dairy takes their time developing their rich sour cream
(18-20 hours of development!). It is made with the freshest cream for local
Iowa farms for a creamier and tastier product that most are used to.
These sliders are full of both easy ingredients
(store-bought rotisserie chicken), fresh ingredients (chives from my garden)
and convenient ingredients (different cheeses, soft pretzel buns).
Very easy to make – a kindergarten student could probably
put these together!
I love that you mix all the filling together before piling
it on the pretzel buns to bake in the oven. No individual steps, just dump and
mix. Super easy!
Did I mention there is an additional crunch of crispy bacon?
YUM!
I baked these up while the kids were at school, then we were
all headed in different directions – football practice, volleyball games – but
I sent a simple text later and said, “chicken sliders in the fridge ready to
heat up”!
And well, as expected half the pan was gone when I got home
later that night.
I love a new dish that the whole family loves instantly.
If you plan on taking these to the big game – and perhaps
are eating outside or out of the back end of your car, here are some simple
ways to keep them warm.
My favorite way is investing in a 9x13 crockpot. I use mine all the time and
it’s easy to take along in the car to keep food warm. You can also bake them as
directed, wrapping the pan tightly in foil, followed by a beach towel and take
to the game. They’ll stay warm for a couple hours.
Grab a container of AE Dairy sour cream and
make these sliders! It makes the filling
creamy and delicious. The flavor is top notch, and I promise you people will
ask “what’s all in these sliders”?
Be sure to tag myself (@sweetsavoryeats) and AE

sure to share your photos. We love to see them!

The 25-minute total time is what sold me, plus using a store-bought rotisserie chicken makes this actually doable on a weeknight. The garlic butter brushed on top before baking sounds like the move that makes these taste way more expensive than they are.
ReplyDeleteThe dump-and-mix filling is such a smart shortcut — no fussing with each slider individually. I love that you leaned on rotisserie chicken too; that's the difference between a recipe I *want* to make and one I actually will on a chaotic weeknight. And the foil-plus-beach-towel trick for keeping them warm in the car is going straight into my tailgate playbook. That bacon crunch on top is what seals the deal for me!

ReplyDeleteThese look like the perfect fall comfort food! I love that the filling comes together in one bowl — and that bacon crunch is calling my name. The pretzel buns are such a great touch, too. Definitely adding these to my football Sunday menu. Thanks for the tip about the 9x13 crockpot for keeping them warm at tailgates, that's a game changer! 🏈
