The Cake Doctor

I guess if you can get a doctorate in cakes, this lady has it.  There are recipes in here that will amaze you and make you want to get in the kitchen pronto and start baking.

It'd be a perfect gift for the baking lover in your life.

It'd be the perfect gift for my friend Mackenzie who has recently starting up her own cake business Kreative Kakes.  (Shameless plug).

It'd be the perfect gift for a mom who loves baking her kids own birthday cakes.  (We all know how I feel about that...)

And finally, it'd be the perfect gift for yourself.  Take her recipes and make them your own.  Want a chance at winning this book?

Today is your lucky day.  I'll choose one random winner for The Cake Doctor on Wednesday, July 13th.  I picked this date as that is one month from when I turn the big 30.  I have a feeling I'll be eating a LOT of cake that day.

Three different ways to enter, giving you three chances at winning!

1.  Describe the best cake you have ever tasted.
2.  Become a follower of Sweet & Savory.
3.  Become a fan of Sweet & Savory on Facebook.

Good luck!

Stay tuned this week for a delicious waffle recipe...and guess what?  Sweet & Savory will be getting a face lift soon.  I cannot wait.  I am so sick and tired of this look.  Thank god, for a great friend who is a graphic designer!

  1. My mom gets this almond butter cream cake from a local greek bakery. HOLY MOLY. We get it every year for Christmas.

  2. I made this Chocolate Reece's peanut butter cup cake for my birthday this past year and it was probably one of the most divine things I've ever had!

  3. The best cake I ever tasted might have been the coconut cake that my friend made for another friend's wedding this weekend. It was ridiculously moist, and had a fresh, faint, coconuty flavour, but it was not too sweet.

  4. My MIL made the most wonderful chocolate cake. Years ago she gave me the recipe, but I am quite certain she left something out.

  5. I'm a follower!

My mom's sour cream cake with cream cheese glaze is the most delicious, moist and tender cake I've ever eaten. No matter how I try, I haven't been able to duplicate it. Close, but not quite.
