It's crock pot season and here is a new, savory dish for you.
My Crock Pot French Onion Meatballs are flavorful and fun!

I thought it was high time I shared a new crock pot recipe for you guys. It is October, we are in the thick of the Fall season, so it just seemed right.

Over the years I've share so many good ones with you, both savory and sweet. Here are your favorites!

I've found after almost 16 years of food blogging that kids love meatballs. It's always a dinner favorite. Whether it be something very traditional like spaghetti and meatballs or a fun holiday appetizer they can pick up with a toothpick, they always disappear fast.

The key to these meatballs turning out stellar are browning them quickly (just a sear on all sides) before placing them in the crockpot. This helps to hold them together and also locks in all the flavors.

To make these "French Onion" style they finishing cooking on LOW in the crock pot for a few hours covered in onion soup. This keeps them tender and moist.

Can I say the aroma also is mouthwatering??

Once dinner is ready make a batch of mashed potatoes to serve them with - trust me on this! They are incredible sitting on top of the buttery potatoes with some of that extra gravy poured on top.

This makes the PERFECT cozy dinner. Add some green beans to the side, or perhaps a salad and dinner is done!

My kids devoured it. I even enjoyed the small amount of leftovers we had for lunch the next day. This will be on our dinner rotation from here on out.
