Here's a fun dip that is perfect to make for guests.
Who doesn't love pretzels and beer?
This is a dip that I started making years ago, then kind of forgot about it, then remembered it last week! Sometimes that happens with recipes of mine. I make them a ton followed by years of not even thinking about them and then all of a sudden they are top of mind again.
Following me?
Anyway, this one is fun and easy!
The base starts like most dips - cream cheese, sour cream, cheese. The yummy dairy trifecta! What can I say we love all things cheesy and dairy in the Midwest.
It then gets amped up with smoked paprika (regular works fine too, but I love the smokiness), some ranch seasoning, cumin, a half of can of beer (any kind will do - but dark beers have more flavor), followed by shredded cheese.
It all comes together in a fun dip that is great for any gathering.
Now, I've always called this "pretzel" beer cheese dip because I feel pretzels are the best dipping snack for it - BUT BY ALL MEANS - dip whatever vessel you adore.
Potato chips, pita chips, carrot sticks, crackers.....they all work just fine.
This dip is good in the fridge for a few days, so whip it up well in advance to take on a road trip or for a party. I promise it will be a hit!
Whose making it first???
Put it on your party set list and watch it disappear.
