5 Ingredient Cajun Ziti

Who doesn't love a 5 ingredient dinner?
This creamy Cajun ziti comes together in just 30 minutes.

If your kids aren't back in school yet, they will be soon - which means easy, simple dinners need to be served. It's a crazy busy time of year!

Don't have kids? This dinner still works for you. We all have jam packed schedules.

Fareway Stores and I came up with my new 5 Ingredient Cajun Ziti in an effort to ease the pain of dinner boredom + so all us caregivers have another simple dinner to put into our rotation when you are crunched on time.

Ingredients for Cajun Ziti spread out on a wooden cutting board.

This is ALL you will need:

  • Chicken
  • Heavy Whipping Cream
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Pasta
  • Creole seasoning

And of course a skillet to bring the sauce together, a pot to boil the noodles in and (if you choose) an air fryer to quickly cook the chicken. You certainly don't need an air fryer for that, but I have found it's easy, cooks each piece evenly and locks in the juicy flavor. But of course, cooking the chicken in a skillet is fine too!

I love this simple dinner because it is so darn quick. Plus - it has a TON of flavor. If you are a cream sauce fan, you need to try this one. It's rich (without any butter!) and creamy, has the strong nutty zest of Parmesan cheese, plus the creole seasoning gives it just a little bit of zip.

Nothing crazy though - it's not a spicy dish, just flavorful!

And here I used chicken, but of course you can sub in any protein - steak, shrimp, salmon, whatever you have on hand and whatever your family prefers. After making this, I also thought stirring in some sauteed peppers would be nice, even fresh peas!

Doesn't this make you want to grab a fork and dig right in?

This recipe will serve 4 to 6, depending on how hungry your crew is (if you have teenagers you might want to think about doubling it).

Right now mine are 16, 14 and 11.

They devoured this!

I'm looking forward to seeing you plate this up at your house!
