This fantastic breakfast treat for Fall will have everyone in your family grabbing a second slice.
Sweet cinnamon apples and buttery biscuits make the best combination!
I've been instructed by the husband to make this for every holiday breakfast from here on out.
He came home from lunch last week, ate some leftovers then saw this sitting on the counter cooling. He dug in and promptly told me to take it away.
He simply counted be trusted after two slices.
My new Cinnamon Apple Pull-Apart Bread is like marrying cinnamon rolls, apple pie and monkey bread all together in one!
Now this bread may look fancy but all you really need is a loaf pan and a few simple baking ingredients. Plus apples of course - Fall's best produce - in my opinion.
The other secret layered in between this sweet bread is apple butter. You can make my homemade version that comes together easily in the crockpot, or any store bought version is fine too.
It helps bind the diced apples into the bread and adds a sweet, slow cooked apple flavor.
The second simple part of this recipe is the can of Grand's biscuits that make the tender, flaky dough.
The trick is to gently tear each biscuit in half, horizontally. They easily tear apart turning one biscuit into two. This gives the bread thin layers that pull-apart for easy sharing.
I also like to diced the apples really small, that way they fit into the layers without much bulge and they cook quickly.
After baking you will let this bread sit for 5 minutes before gently inverting onto a serving plate. You'll immediately find out why you'll love this bread forever.
Just look at how pretty it is!
The bottom of the bread will be caramelized (+ add more caramel topping if you'd like) and it will be very hard to not dig into the steaming bread!
Oh my gosh, just look at how delicious each layer is!
Caramel glazed, tender biscuit dough, studded with spiced apples.
This bread is absolutely amazing warm out of the oven, but I'm going to also admit it is just as good at room temperature a few hours later. It's perfect to share with anyone!
I'm putting this bread on my holiday menu (both Thanksgiving and Christmas). I know everyone will be happy about that.
But better yet, it's also great for any lazy weekend morning. Easy to make, but looks fussy. My favorite kind of recipe!
