The ultimate sinful cake is here!
Loaded with chocolate and peanut butter and lots of love.
This post is sponsored by AE Dairy, but all opinions are my own.
Sometimes
you just need a good cake to get you through a busy week! Nothing beats a
sweet, sinful bite after dinner when it’s been a busy day.
Last week
was Homecoming for us and with two kids in high school and one kid in middle
school, the number of activities we had on our schedule was a bit insane – but
always fun! Between football and volleyball + parades, skits, dress up days and
not to mention the big DANCE with dates, it was a very full week.
But we had
this cake to come home to after – which made the end of the day feel like a
treat!
AE Dairy and I wanted to feature their chocolate milk – which is always a staple at our
house. I try and never let it run out!
It is like
reliving your childhood drinking this milk. Every person in our family – all 5
of us – love this milk. I often tell people it’s like drinking melted chocolate
ice cream, it really is that rich and creamy. We love the whole milk variety (it also comes in 2% and skim). It’s
a great addition to any breakfast or an after-workout snack. One cup has 8
grams of protein!
On top of
having an ice cold glass of this milk, I also use it in baking. This week it’s
cake! But I’ve also used it in my Chocolate Croissant Breakfast Bake and my kid approved Dirt Cups.
Have you
ever made a poke cake?
They are
incredibly easy and have just a few simple steps. You bake the cake as normal
(in this case replacing the water with AE Dairy’s chocolate milk) and then let it cool. Once cool you
“poke” holes all over the cake. This creates little pockets for the next layer
to seep into.
In this case
that “seepy” layer is a combination of peanut butter and sweetened condensed
milk.
After
spending some time in the fridge, you then layer on the topping – whipped cream
folded into some of that leftover filling. It creates a sweet fluffy layer on
the top.
Once all the
layers have been added you pop this cake bake in the fridge to set up a bit and
patiently wait until it’s time to dive in.
If you have
any peanut butter and chocolate fans in your house, tell them to prepare
themselves. This one is magical.
It’s rich
and creamy, yet light and fluffy all at the same time. I personally think it
gets better the longer it sits in the fridge.
This cake
may become a birthday staple, or a holiday staple. Once people have it, they
never forget it! It’s the perfect cake to make for any occasion. It’s very
forgiving and can be kept cold for days in the fridge only getting better.
Have a party
to go to?
BRING IT.
I cannot
wait to hear what you guys think about this one! Be sure to tag myself (@sweetsavoryeats) and AE Dairy (@aedairy) on socials so we can see how you made it part of your special occasion.
We’ll be sure to share your photos!

ReplyDeleteIndulging in a piece of chocolate cake at the end of a busy week is a real luxury. I am a fan of the peanut butter and chocolate combo which makes this cake a hit. Similarly, saving time is crucial for students who are busy looking for a dissertation writing service in UAE. Amidst children's school activities and hectic routines, such an easy dessert can please everyone.
ReplyDeleteThat peanut butter cup chocolate poke cake sounds absolutely divine! After a week as jam-packed as yours, a sweet indulgence is definitely in order. All those homecoming activities sound like a blast, though I can imagine how much energy they'd take! Sometimes I find a quick break with some fun Flappy Bird can be a good way to unwind after a busy day, too.
ReplyDeleteOmg this looks absolutely insane 🤤 peanut butter + chocolate is literally top tier. Ngl I’m drooling rn. Def gonna try whipping this up this weekend! I'll probably just be raging at Geometry Dash while waiting for it to bake lol. Thanks for sharing this gem!

ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful blend of flavors in your Peanut Butter Cup Chocolate Poke Cake! The way you incorporate the puddles of chocolate is genius. It reminds me of how browser games leverages unique angles to enhance user experiences, much like your cake elevates dessert time. Thank you for sharing!
